Veterinary Anaesthesia Service Hong Kong (VASHK) is a mobile anaesthesia service that provides hospital-grade anaesthesia and analgesia support to veterinary clinics across Hong Kong. We bring advanced equipment and tailored anaesthetic protocols directly to your clinic, enabling safer surgical procedures without the need for full-time anaesthesia staffing. We also provide veterinary anaesthesia continuous education for veterinary staff and remote consultancy services related to veterinary anaesthesia for vet hospitals. Furthermore, we provide consultancy services for hospital revamp and construction related to anaesthesia. For pet owners, we provide comprehensive, compassionate in-home veterinary palliative and hospice care to honor the love for our furry friends at home.
VASHK was founded and is led by Dr Jason Cham Shum Chen (BVSc), a Hong Kong-born veterinarian with extensive anaesthesia experience at multiple referral and teaching hospitals across Australia and Hong Kong. Dr Chen served as teaching staff at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Sydney and completed his anaesthesia internship at SASH North Ryde. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Otago, and a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care from the University of Melbourne. Dr Jason Chen is also a member of the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care as well as the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.
